At Doicești, RoPower Nuclear is developing a proposed small modular reactor facility on the site of a former coal-fired power plant. The current plant concept uses NuScale technology and comprises six modules capable of producing up to 462 MWe in total.

Fluor is providing Phase 2 front-end engineering and design services for the project. This work is intended to further develop the proposed plant configuration, incorporate applicable requirements and provide a stronger technical foundation for future project decisions.
